My first visit to this fascinating Southeast Asian country. If I had to compare it with any other city, it would be with Bangkok, as Kuala Lumpur is also able to perfectly combine ancient, cultural and religious traditions with the more modern side of life in the city. Skyscrapers combine with ancient temples, technology, fashion, and new trends, they are mixed with the customs of a very conservative mainly Muslim society.
The streets remind me more of countries in the Middle East and North Africa; small shops that sell absolutely everything smells and colors typical of Muslim cuisine, will make you travel to different parts of the world, without leaving the city.
